It seems that all the House of Representatives and Senate can do is talk about the multitude of scandals surrounding the Obama administration. We need to have full investigations, and if Obama and his administration refuse to cooperate, hold them in contempt and move towards impeachment of all officials involved.
So far the scandals seem to directly implicate the President and top officials. It is time something is done.
The IRS specifically targeted groups of Tea Party patriots, who are concerned about the way the country is headed. They were exercising their first amendment rights, and because of this were harassed by the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS even made a statement apologizing for their actions, and the best the President can do is say that they will look into the matter and that he is just as shocked as we all are. Never mind the fact that he received a briefing on the matter at least three weeks before the scandal hit the news.
One must also look at the fact that the IRS does not operate independently. They are part of the executive branch, set out to enforce tax laws. Something like this would not have escaped the President’s attention. This leaves us to question whether or not Obama himself directed the IRS to act against his critics.
The Department of Justice began to collect phone numbers of over 100 reporters for the Associated Press for alleged leaks of an al Qaeda attack. They have begun to track what journalists are reporting in the attempt, it would seem, to silence any opposition to the message the administration puts out. The only thing cited was “nation security” as reasoning for stalking these reporters. As time has gone on, it would seem that more and more, warrant-less monitoring of American citizens is becoming common place, and this cannot stand in the American Republic.
You also have the ongoing Benghazi investigation. There have been multiple lies and misleading of the American people at various levels of government. Obama denied it was a terror attack, Jay Carney denied it multiple times, Hillary Clinton lied before Congress, Susan Rice went around lying about what happened, and the list goes on. This was an intentional cover-up of massive proportions, and the only actions taken were moving against the creator of some video that had only been viewed 47 times before the attack occurred. There have been no arrests made of individuals, no strikes on terror groups, nothing from the man who is supposed in safeguard America. And when our representatives have inquired about the attack, they have met resistance at every turn. There is an active attempt to stonewall any investigation.
Let’s not forget about Fast and Furious under the DOJ. The lovely gun walking scandal, sending thousands of weapons to drug cartels in Mexico. Then there is also the lack of prosecution from this administration for federal firearms violations. Obama being the very last in prosecution of bankers involved in fraud. Obama’s assassination of an American citizen and his son in Yemen using a drone strike. Not closing down Guantanamo as he stated he would. Nearly 2 billion rounds of lethal ammunition purchased by the Department of Homeland Security, which still has not been answered by Janet Napolitano.
There has been the unconstitutional appointments to the NLRB, prosecution of whistle blowers, the NSA spy center being built in Draper Utah to monitor American citizens, the expansion of TSA powers to include trains and highways, Solyndra (among many other “green energy” companies) going bankrupt and also being Obama donors, suing states for laws passed that back current federal laws (case in point Arizona on immigration enforcement), and refusing to prosecute Black Panthers intimidating voters.
Now, this is a SAMPLING of the unconstitutional, illegal, and reprehensible acts and scandals coming from the top of this administration. Please explain why nothing is being done? When will someone have the balls to step up and say enough is enough?!
This country deserves men and women who have integrity and intestinal fortitude, and we are sitting with a President doing dam near whatsoever he pleases, and almost no one challenging him.
2014 we need to get people into office willing to challenge these sorts of people and prosecute crimes against the American people. If we cannot make gains in the House and regain the Senate, we are going to be heading down the road to serfdom and tyranny on a much steeper slope that we may not be able to recover from.
Time to start calling and writing Senators and Congressmen to stand for the Constitution of these United States, and if they will not act, get them the hell out and replace them with people who will. It is up to us.
